Band Trip

Overall, it went well. One bus broke on the way to my school, so we took one crammed bus to the competition. When we arrived at New Caney HS, We just stood out front for a few minutes. We finally got in the hall, and eventually, in the warm-up room. We had our warm-up, and we went on stage. We played our three selections(don't bother asking for them, you won't know them). We exited, we went into the sightreading room. The rules of sightreading are:
1. No part of the band is allowed to have heard the song that they will play
2. There will be 7 minutes of discussion before playing
3. No talking, looking at posters, or mouths on instruments during the 7 minutes.

WE GOT ALL ONES! THE BEST RATING WE CAN GET!!!!  So, after our performance, a second bus finally arrived, so half stayed, and half went. We went to a burger joint afterwards. The cheese came seperate with the burger. Afterwards, I gave my remains to the hog of our class.Afterwards, I had a brownie, while most other people had 2 million milkshakes. On the bus ride home, there were no disturbances on my bus except for a brake slam. When we got back I walked into the band room at the same time as six other people SPRINTED out of the band room. "Too many Milkshakes" I thought. We went on to 7th period.

Thanks for the great description! Your band's hard work paid off. Sounds like an almost perfect day--except for the cram in the bus part.
