On July 6, we went to the local Petco adoption area. We got there early and they only had 2 cats. We adopted both of them. They were being fostered in the same home, so it seemed right.
This is Samantha. We call her Sam. I call her Sammy Girl. She answers to none.
They think Sam is 2-3 years old. She is very sweet but not 100% trusting and relaxed yet. We don't know her history, but she doesn't act like she was mistreated. She is not chunky; she just has a lot of hair. She is a Cymric with a 1/3 tail. When she wags it, it looks like a dogs tail. It is funny.
Sam sleeps under the bed during the day. About 9:00 pm, she comes out and explores the house. She'll come around.
This is Jack:
He was 12 weeks when we got him. He and his sister were dumped at the shelter (she's been adopted). He put on quite a show at the Petco and found himself a home with us within seconds of meeting.
Jack had no problems adjusting. He does have a problem fitting in to places he shouldn't be. That should change as he grows.
