January was full of blahs and 25 days without sun. February has been better.
This weekend we found a source for crawfish that wasn't 30 miles away. We went there for lunch and Kevin got his requisite three-pound order. Usually, Matthew eats a few pieces that daddy has already picked out. This time, Matthew peeled his own crawfish. The twist was easy for him, breaking the front part from the back. But he had a harder time getting the meat out from the tail. He even sucked the heads. I wish I had my camera.
On Sunday we made king crab legs (huge suckers) and watched the Super Bowl. It was way less stressful without the Seahawks in the mix.
Matthew wants to go back to the restaurant next week and get his own pound of crawfish. We are officially Gulf Coast trash.
