Freeway Cowboys

The trail riders are back in town. It's an interesting scene to see: horses, cowboys and chuck wagons moseying down the feeder roads as you pass by on the freeway.

Houston is the 4th largest city in the country, but sights like that sometimes make the fact hard to believe.

Remember the crawfish from last week? Yeah, that restaurant is going away. It was a Baja California seafood-style place with California prices. Texas didn't take too kindly to it, as they say. The restaurant added crawfish (you know, the Mexican kind) in an attempt to get a bigger crowd. They did get some crawfish eaters, but not enough. They plan on closing down and re-opening with TX/LA style food...and they'll keep the crawfish. Matthew is pleased.

The TAKS reading test was this week. Matthew said he did ok. We'll see if all the tutoring worked. He has to pass the test to get out of third grade. Math TAKS is in April.

Kevin is done with the Ohio project. There are plans to go to Washington (state) and Toronto but no giant project on the spot. If you have any questions, ask him because that's all I know. I'm just the wife/cat feeder/chicken nugget maker.
