Seattle, Part 1

Matthew had Monday off, so we went to Seattle for a long weekend. Coincidentally, there just happened to be a Seahawks home game during that time.

We took a boat ride so Matthew could see how the locks work. It was windy and chilly. Matthew went inside the boat and ate popcorn while we were going through the locks. So much for that educational opportunity. I saw three jumping salmon.

This was the view as we rounded the bend. The guy said this was the last sunny day in Seattle for a while.

We went shopping at Kevin's favorite sports store. Because the Green Bay was in town, there was a special Packers display. Who came up with the idea to wear yellow foam triangles on your head as a sign of team loyalty? The cheese cowboy hat looks better.

Before the game, there was a little event in the convention center next to the stadium. Matthew got to kick field goals....

...and play quarterback.

This was the view from our hotel room. I enjoyed watching the ferries come and go.
