We met Matthew's teacher and saw his classroom yesterday. This grade is different because they are getting kids ready for middle school. The kids switch teachers depending on the subject and ability level. This means there's a good possibility he'll get "The Yeller" for some time during the day.
I met all the teachers in his grade. The Yeller is quite nice. One of the other teachers even joked about her loud voice.
Matthew seems happy with the hand he was dealt. I also bought him a new school shirt and put $$$ in his cafeteria account. He saw his class list.
Now all that's left is getting up early and getting back in the homework routine. Last year was brutal. Hopefully, this year he'll buy in to the fact that the sooner he quits whining, the sooner the homework will get done and he can go back to playing.
Yeah, right.
